Parties told to remove elections posters, or else
Chantall Presence | 2009/04/27 05:01:51 PM

Political parties in Cape Town have until Saturday to remove their election posters or face hefty fines.

The posters are still cluttering lamp posts around the Peninsula.

The city’s Pieter Cronje said parties were made aware that there were conditions attached when they put up the campaigning posters.

“The parties who put them up have 10 days after the election to take the posters down, failing which the city will remove them for the account of the relevant political party at a fee of R33 per poster,” said Cronje.
