Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille said on Monday that other opposition parties have the necessary talent to strengthen the future Western Cape government.
Zille is set to be sworn in as the province’s new premier next month after her party won an outright majority in the elections, effectively booting the ANC out of power in the Western Cape.
She said she was keen to form a coalition government, even though this is not necessary.
Zille added it made sense to form such a government so as to strengthen opposition groups.
The DA’s Federal Executive was expected to meet on Tuesday to discuss everything from coalitions to implementing the party’s policies in the Western Cape.
