Speculation about Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s health remains rife with Zanu-PF denying reports their leader is ill.

Government officials say Mugabe is in Zimbabwe after returning from a private visit to Dubai.

Wednesday reports said Mugabe was receiving medical treatment at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates.

ZANU-PF’s Bright Matonga said Mugabe was on a working visit to the region.

The 84-year-old is due to host President Jacob Zuma during a two-day visit to the northern neighbour to discuss the failings of Harare’s governing coalition.

The South African presidency said it had not received any official communication on Mugabe’s health.
