The Democratic Alliance has called for the findings of an investigation into how intelligence tapes landed up in the possession of Jacob Zuma’s legal team to be tabled in Parliament.
Intelligence Inspector-General Zolile Ngcakani confirmed the probe was completed.
He told journalists the report would not be made public at this stage, stating that it had not yet been handed to the authorities.
The intercepted conversations between former Scorpions boss Leonard McCarthy and ex-National Prosecuting Authority head Bulelani Ngcuka led to criminal charges against President Zuma being dropped.
DA spokesperson Ross van der Linde said it wanted answers.
“What we believe is essential now, is that this information is presented in an open forum in parliament, where it can be assessed and where appropriate questions can be asked," said van der Linde.
