Advocates in the Jackie Selebi corruption trial were forced to make contingency plans on Friday when all court cases at the South Gauteng High Court were postponed due to a power outage.
A substation at the court was flooded after heavy downpours and authorities closed the courthouse.
Clerks, attorneys and advocates were perplexed about proceedings and waited patiently in the hope of being allowed back in.
They took the snag in their stride and simply walked across the road to a coffee shop.
