The African National Congress on Sunday praised Ministers Tokyo Sexwale and Lindiwe Sisulu for burying the hatchet following their public spat over a R20 million rand housing theatre production.

Details of the spending emerged during a reply to a parliamentary question.

The ANC’s Brian Sokutu welcomed the move.

“We do appreciate the manner in which the two comrades have appreciated the call by the ANC and have
realised the importance of working together,” said Sokutu.

Their tiff began last week when Sexwale blamed his predecessor for wasting millions of rand on educational plays.

Sisulu retaliated by accusing Sexwale of taking credit for her initiatives.

The pair has since issued a joint statement following their public outburst.

Meanwhile, Defence and Military Veterans Spokesperson Ndivhuwo Mabaya was accused of issuing an
unauthorised statement lashing Sexwale for not being creative and not coming up with new projects.
