Airports Company South Africa on Monday assured its current security measures were up to scratch and could handle any possible threats.

It followed an unsuccessful Christmas Day terror attack by a Nigerian man on a US-bound passenger jet.

ACSA added its security plans for the 2010 FIFA World Cup were in place and are constantly being evaluated to make sure they remain sufficient.

“Security issues being of the dynamic nature that they are, these are always under review and should any of our potential threats identified change, our plans are updated accordingly,” said ACSA’s Nicky Knapp.
