More than 20 firefighters on Thursday responded to a fire at the popular Dolphin Beach Hotel in Blouberg.

Cape Town fire services received an emergency call shortly after 9am on Thursday about a fire in the Blowfish Restaurant in the hotel.

Emergency personnel evacuated the premises and are attending to the blaze.

Cape Town Fire Service’s Winston Davids said the entire restaurant area has been affected by the smoke and flames.
