Authorities have slammed the attack on two female Johannesburg paramedics calling it a “senseless act”.
Johannesburg Emergency Services personnel have marched in Durban Deep, on the West Rand, where the women were targeted while attending to a toddler a week ago.
On Friday Public Safety MMC Elgina Ndlovu lambasted the criminals who attacked the paramedics.
She described the man as dogs who should be placed behind.
The head of the city’s Emergency Management Services Nthombi Gule echoed Ndlovu’s sentiments, saying the criminals had gone to far.
Dozens of community members from surrounding townships also turned out to support the march.
