A recently conducted accommodation survey shows Cape Town will be the best value for money destination during the World Cup.
The survey was commissioned by Tourism Minister Martinus van Schalkwyk to establish a clear picture of prices in host cities.
The survey polled more than 2 400 establishments.
It found that 80 percent of Cape Town’s establishments were charging less than those in other host cities.
Cape Town Tourism’s Mariette du Toit Helmbold said the city was confirmed as a value for money destination.
“The hard work over the last three years has paid off in terms of making sure that Cape Town’s reputation as a value for money destination is established firmly amongst the tourism industry.”
