The identity of a man whose headless body was found in the Villiersdorp area in the Western Cape has not yet been established.
The small community was left stunned by the discovery of the corpse on a farm in the area on Wednesday 21 July.
But no arrests have been made in connection with the murder and mutilation of the man, who was missing several of his internal organs, his head and his hands.
More than a week later, the police’s Sylvester de Long said they are still working towards identifying the victim.
“At the moment we are still waiting for the lab report with the DNA results and we are still working with information from the public.”
