It has been a gruelling day in the witness stand for former Kebble security chief Clinton Nassif, who lost his temper after being accused of lying to implicate Glenn Agliotti.
He testified in the murder case against Agliotti in the South Gauteng High Court.
Agliotti is on trial for masterminding mining magnate Brett Kebble’s killing and the attempted murder of Stephen Mildenhall.
The judge was forced to regularly step in to ask Nassif to calm down in the interests of justice.
Advocate Laurance Hodes bombarded Nassif with questions and accusations that he was lying in order to implicate Agliotti.
Nassif snapped and slammed the witness stand, saying he was taking responsibility for his role and that Agliotti is the liar.
Central to Friday’s evidence was the shooting of Mildenhall, with Nassif testifying that John Stratton gave him a sushi knife to go and kill the Allan Grey executive.
Hodes said Nassif’s version of events is irreconcilable with that of Stephen Sanders, his business partner, who was with him on the particular night.
